Overview

We love the Chase Sapphire Preferred because it’s a great introduction to the world of travel rewards. Cardholders can accrue rewards quickly thanks to the card’s popular bonus categories, including dining and travel. Once you earn Ultimate Rewards points, you can redeem them for 1.25 cents apiece through Chase Travel℠ and unlock incredible value through Chase’s 11 airline and three hotel partners when transferring your points.

The Chase Sapphire Preferred is a good choice for award travel beginners who want to ease into the world of points and miles. Thanks to its versatility and the value of Chase’s Ultimate Rewards points, the Ultimate Rewards program is a favorite across the board. There are multiple ways to redeem points, including for travel, as statement credits and transfers to airline and hotel partners.
